THE PROCESS

Remapping is a software change in your car’s electronic control unit (ECU). ECU remapping changes the default software and settings made by the vehicle’s manufacturer. The original ECU software is overwritten with the customised software and programmed to the vehicle. It has made the tuning process of a vehicle a lot easier.

Mechanical Inspection

bEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES TO THE ECU CALIBRATION OF YOUR VEHICLE WE WILL CARRY OUT A VISUAL INSPECTION OF YOUR VEHICLES KEY COMPONENTS AND CHECK FOR ANY MECHANICAL DEFECTS THAT MAY CAUSE ANY ISSUES WHEN TUNING.

FAULT CODE HEALTH CHECK

WE WILL THEN PROCEED TO CARRY OUT A VEHICLE HEALTH CHECK USING OUR DIAGNOSTICS EQUIPMENT IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY ANY ISSUES THAT MAY NOT BE VISUALLY APPARENT

Satisfied that your vehicle is in a healthy mechanical condition, we will proceed to read the ecu calibration from your vehicle

ECU Calibration parameter changes

WE WILL THEN PROCEED TO MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES TO THE ECU CALIBRATION IN ORDER TO MAXIMISE THE GAINS FROM THE CURRENT HARDWARE SETUP. DEPENDING ON YOUR VEHICLE WE WILL OPTIMISE PARAMETERS SUCH AS BOOST, IGNITION TIMING, FUEL ETC.

Satisfied that your vehicle is in a healthy mechanical condition, we will proceed to write the modified ecu calibration to your vehicles ecu

road test

once we have uploaded the revised ecu calibration to your vehicle we will carry out a road test to ensure the car is responding well to the tuning and where necessary we will datalog the vehicle. having completed a satisfactory road test we will hand the vehicle back over to the customer.
